City Wide Clean Up
4/9/2025
City Wide Clean Up will be on May 12th, 2025. Please have all items to the curb the night before, as LRS will start collection around 5:00 a.m.

City Wide Clean Up

Reminder, City wide clean up is this Monday, September 30th. Please have all your items by the curb before 5:00 a.m. They will not take electronics, appliances, paint, tires, or any other hazmat liquids.

Garbage Rate Increase

Beginning April 1, 2024, The Village of Stronghurst will increase the garbage pickup rate from $18.54 to $21.95. The village has not increase garbage pickup fees in many years and has not collected enough to cover the garbage contract for several years. We are aware this is not an ideal situation, but with the rising cost of services in today's economy, it is necessary. Thank You!
NEW GARBAGE
11/22/2023
Village of Stronghurst will be swithcing recycling and garbage carriers at the end of this month. LRS, our new company will be delivering each resident a trash cart and a recycling cart on November 27th and November 28th. They will begin at the north side of town and work their way down, please be patient with this process and our new company. Your service days for LRS will now be on MONDAYS, with your first day of service being December 4th. That will be both garbage and recycling and then recycling will be every other monday after that. If you do not receive a cart by the 30th, please contact village hall.
Special Meeting-Insurance
11/6/2023
There will be a special meeting to review the Villages insurance renewal for 2024 at 5:00 p.m. before the regular board meeting on November 6, 2023.
