Garbage & Recycling
The Village of Stronghurst contracts with an outside waste management company for solid waste collection and recycling. Garbage collection is every Friday with the exception of holidays which will push collection pickup to Saturday of that week. Recycling pick up is every other Friday. Please see below for the 2019 Recycling schedule. Garbage and recyling fees are included in your water bill. The current garbage collection fee per month is $18.54. Every residence should be equipped with a Waste Management recycling can that is to stay at the residence if you should move. If your home does not have one, please contact Village Hall.
Acceptable recycling materials include:
Paper products such as: Newspapers, magazines, junk mail, computer paper, phonebooks and cardboard. Steel, tin or aluminum cans, glass or plastic jars. Please rinse all containers and remove lids and labels.
Annual Curbside Clean up Day
The Village of Stronghurst Fall Clean up day is scheduled for October 1, 2021.
